KOFI OWUSU FORFIE
Mr. Owusu Forfie worked as the Chief Executive Officer of Sterling Financial Services Ltd. until June 2012. He grew Sterling from a distressed corporate status from 2005 into a high growth company until it was acquired by a group of foreign investors in 2012. Sterling is an investment banking firm and a finance house that raised funds and lent them onto the Ghanaian market prior to its acquisition.
Previous to this, Kofi founded and worked with Liberty Investments Ltd. an investment banking corporation located in Ghana and now re-named Glico Financial Services Ltd., after the parent company, Gemini Life Insurance Co. Ltd (GLICO) in 2010.
Mr. Owusu Forfie is an investment banker and a financial analyst of several years reputation. He holds an MBA from the University of Ghana Business School with a concentration in Finance and in the closing stages (September 2012) of his Masters of Law (LLM) degree from the University of Liverpool, U.K., specialism in International Finance and Banking Law
He has worked all his life in the finance industry commencing as an intern with the Ecobank Ghana, a sub-regional bank. Prior to joining Sterling he was a member of the preparatory team that established the Union Mortgage Bank before it was taken over by Stanbic Bank, a subsidiary of the South African banking giant STANBIC. He started at Sterling as the Head of Corporate Finance and Research. Kofi finally had his Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree from the University of Ghana, Legon in Accra.
